Didn't know about that feature on mags - on my Triumph and Ariel, NSU etc there was no such provision.
I was thinking in terms of starting - given the absence of a kick starter - and bump starting isn'e necessarily always fun - in the rain on a slick surface - so a mag might also involve figuring out how to shoe horn in a kick starter -
etc etc etc
gets complex real fast
